OptiMiser does not support the HEIC format.
Instead, to use your cell phone to take photos for OptiMiser, you can set your phone to save images as jpegs.
To set your iPhone to save photos as jpeg, you need to change the camera settings to prioritize compatibility. Open the Settings app, navigate to Camera, and then select "Formats." Choose "Most Compatible."
- Open Settings: Go to your iPhone's Settings app.
- Navigate to Camera: Scroll down and tap on "Camera".
- Select Formats: Tap on "Formats".
- Choose Most Compatible: Select "Most Compatible" under the "Camera Capture" section. This will switch your iPhone to saving photos in JPEG (and videos in H.264) instead of HEIC (High Efficiency Image Format) and HEVC (H.265).
Steps to turn off HEIC on Andriod:
Open the Camera app.
Tap the gear icon (Settings) in the top corner.
Scroll down to “Picture formats” or “Advanced picture options.”
(The exact name may vary depending on your phone model and Android version.)
Find the option for HEIF pictures (High efficiency).
Toggle it OFF.
